FAQ About CrossFit and Our Box

  2. Where is CrossFit Westfield? Located within BH Sports Training / BrawlHouse, 1115 Globe Avenue, Mountainside, NJ.
  3. Do I need experience or some minimum level of fitness? Not necessary.  The program is scalable and adaptable.
  4. What if I’m REALLY out of shape and I’m kind of terrified? That is what great coaches are for and the support of your fellow athletes to provide you support.
  5. I have/had an injury. Can I still do CrossFit? 100%.  Just make sure to inform the head coach.
  6. Will CrossFit make me bulky? Not if you don’t want to.  It will make you leaner, stronger and more athletic.
  7. What happens in a free Intro Class? You will get a general overview of what to expect and experience some of the exercises.
  8. I have not done CrossFit, but I’m really fit and would like to skip the Groundwork Workshop and just sign up for a Workout of the Day membership. Can I do that? Everyone who joins needs to go through an assessment before any determination can be made.
  9. What if I can’t fit one of the Groundwork Workshops into my schedule? Do you do Private Groundwork? We understand that scheduling can be difficult at times and we are available to work with you.
  10. I just relocated to New Jersey, but I’ve been CrossFitting for a while elsewhere. Can I please come to a WOD class?  Yes you can, but you will still need to be assessed by the coaching staff.
  11. I’m just visiting New Jersey, but I belong to a CrossFit gym back at home. Can I drop in for a WOD class? 100%.  We love athletes from other boxes.  We would still ask you to go through a quick assessment with our coaching staff.
  12. Can I just come to CrossFit Westfield and work out on my own? We do offer an open gym for our members on Saturday so they can work on specific skills.
  13. What do I need to bring? Sneakers, water, work-out clothes and a winning attitude.
  14. Do you offer personal training? Yes, at an additional cost.
  15. Do I have to become a member to do Personal Training? No, it is available for both members and non-members.
  16. Do you take credit cards, cash, and personal checks? We accept all major credit cards, cash and personal checks.
  17. Can I have a receipt? 100%
  18. Do you sell t-shirts? We sell all sorts of apparel including T-shirts, shorts and sweatshirts
  19. Do you have showers? We have a full locker room, including two showers in both the men’s and ladies’ room
